On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming award-winning author Dan Worsley into our classroom for the morning. He read to us a fantastic story all about PIRATES and was so impressed with how much we could recall. He even told us that we were one of the BEST year one classes that he has EVER worked with!

In our PE lesson, we continued to practise our underarm throwing. Again, it was great to see so many of us using the correct technique. REMEMBER, your elephant’s trunk needs to point at the TARGET!

On Wednesday afternoon, we created some AMAZING artwork with Miss Burn and Mrs Young. Some of us worked together to produce a collaborative piece which brought together the different types of flowers and bright colours that we see in the garden. Whilst others were inspired by the work of Georgia O’Keeffe, who was famous for producing these off the page flower pieces.
