We have had a very busy half term! Our topic has been Barnoldswick in the Past and we have been focusing about the History of Barnoldswick. We have also been learning about maps and fieldwork in Geography.
For English, we have been innovating our story of ‘Home of the Wild’ and been creating our own story based on our homes. We then wrote recounts of our trip to Bancroft Mill and learnt about poems. In Maths we have been looking at shapes; addition and subtraction methods; multiplication and division; and statistics.
Year 2 loved our visit to Bancroft Mill for our topic of Barnoldswick in the Past.

Our Writing

Children in Need
PSHE
In PSHE we have been thinking about keeping safe in and outside of school. We have been identifying situations that are unsafe at home and what to do in an emergency. We’ve also been learning about people who help us and how they help us.
Our Christmas Play

We had so much fun doing our Christmas Play!
Christmas Jumper Day!
Year 2’s Winter Display
We thought about how we feel cosy in Winter and wrote some poems based on our senses in Winter.
Christingles

We enjoyed learning about how Christians celebrate advent and made our own Christingles.
