Our Early Years at Coates Lane School consists of our Reception class. We welcome children from various feeder nurseries in the local area and have close links with both nurseries and parents. We are still developing this part of the website but will be sharing photos, important messages and links with you, that you may find useful if you are a current parent / carer or if you are considering our school for your child next September.

Our Reception teacher is called Mrs Boon and she has worked at Coates Lane for 16 years! Mrs Boon is passionate about early education, nature and the outdoors. She is a Forest School leader and the children go on regular Nature Walks exploring our local area, as well as using our beautiful school grounds here at Coates Lane. Our Reception children are very lucky to have their very own 'Adventure and Exploration' area within the school grounds.

We enjoy being involved within our local community and have links with a local allotment along with a care home where we like to make gifts for the residents and sing with them!
